MRT Connect

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

1. What the app does

MRT Connect reads supported transit cards using NFC and provides fares, timetables, station maps, and recharge guidance. It is developed by Muied Hossain and requires no account.

2. Information we collect

Card identifiers, type, balance, transactions, stations, timestamps, technical details, preferences, and cached transit data are stored on your device. Card records are not uploaded or shared with advertisers.

With permission, foreground location finds nearby stations. It stays in memory, without background access or location history. GPS coordinates are not sent to the transit-data API or ad requests.

Advertising (AdMob), configuration, diagnostics and messaging (Firebase), maps (OpenStreetMap), and hosting services may process IP addresses (approximate location), device/app and network information, advertising and installation identifiers, interactions, crash details, messaging registration data, and map requests to provide their features, measure ads, and prevent fraud. See the Google, Firebase, and OpenStreetMap privacy policies.

4. Retention, choices, and security

Card records remain until deleted or replaced. Use Clear card data for a saved card, or clear Android app storage for all local data. Rescanning replaces history; a fifth card removes the least recently scanned card. Android backup settings may affect restored data.

Manage location permission and advertising settings in Android. Where available, use Ad privacy choices in More to review consent.

Requests use HTTPS and local data uses Android’s private app storage. Providers may process information outside your country and retain it under their linked policies; clearing local storage does not delete their online records.
